“Indecent is a 2015 play by Paula Vogel. It recounts the controversy surrounding the play God of Vengeance by Sholem Asch, which was produced on Broadway in 1923, and for which the producer and cast were arrested and convicted on the grounds of obscenity. Indecent was first produced in 2015.”

*A student shadow cast was created as part of the co-production agreement where students at Portland State University would perform once a week during the show’s run. A co-existing production that followed the current creative direction of the Artists Repertory Theatre and Profile Theatre’s production. Led through the supervision of Karin Magaldi (Portland State University’s Head of Theatre) and Thomas Padraic O’Flannigan as associate director and liaison for both productions.
